Two-Way Street

Hailed as "Knoxville's own experimental music champions" by the Big Ears Festival, Two-Way Street's performances have been described as "deeply affecting, introducing emotion to the banal in a way that I never could have anticipated". Consisting of percussionist Adam Lion and cellist Ashlee Booth, the duo is currently based in Knoxville, Tennessee. Two-Way Street collaborates on a multitude of projects with composers, performers, and improvisers from across the country, and are committed to an ethical performance practice dedicated to diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Fearlessly dedicated to experimental music, the duo has performed at The Red Room (Baltimore), the Black Mountain College {RE}Happening Festival (Asheville), Boston Conservatory, Constellation (Chicago), the University of Chicago, PASIC (Indianapolis), Studio Z (St. Paul), the Continuum Arts Festival (Memphis) and Duke University. The duo's recent recording of Sarah Hennies’ “The Reinvention of Romance” will be released as a double LP through the Astral Spirits label in the fall of 2020.
